The Cessna 152 is a two-seat, general aviation airplane
used primarily for flight training, touring, and
personal flying. Introduced in 1977,this airplane is
a modernization of the Cessna 150 design. There were
around 7,500 of this airplane built worldwide.
The Cessana 152's airframe is primarily made of
aluminium alloy although some components such as wing
tips and fairings are made from fibreglass. The fuselage
is made of vertical bulkheads and frames joined by
longerons which run the length of the fuselage (a semi-monocoque
structure). The skin of the aircraft is made of
aluminium sheets and are riveted. The wings are
supported by struts.
The Cessna 152 has a fixed tricycle landing gear and the
braking system is operated by a hydraulic system.
